Nationals of North Macedonia will soon be able to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without a visa, according to a statement by North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Friday.
This visa waiver will enable North Macedonian citizens to travel to the UAE without the need for prior visa approval, facilitating travel for tourism and business. This landmark decision comes after the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and his delegation at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi on April 14, 2025.
During this meeting, the two parties discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation, especially in key areas such as the economy, investment, development, renewable energy, sustainability, infrastructure, tourism, and other important sectors for both countries.
The removal of the visa requirement widens the UAE’s global connections and improves the mobility of North Macedonian citizens. With this latest development, it is expected that North Macedonia will benefit from more opportunities in terms of tourism and trade.
On X, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski posted, “Soon, the concrete implementation of the decision on visa-free travel will affect a stronger economy, free travel, and strengthening of mutual partnership. We are fighting in every possible way to help our citizens, and with every day to bring changes for our common future.”
This momentous decision marks a strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries and paves the way for greater collaboration in various areas, such as tourism, commerce, and cultural exchange.
